Day 29

www.chihuahuas-online.co.uk/pups_for_sale.htm

Both litters of pups are doing very well. Daisys' litter are now 29 days old, they are lapping up milk formula mixed with rusks, readily now, and are starting on watered down puppy meat too. Roxis litter are now 24 days old and are not really that far behind, they are happy with the milk formula, and the little boy is startring on the meat aswell. I am keeping both mums away from the litter for longer periods through the day, to try and persuade the pups that it is ok to eat and drink as well as sleep whilst mum is not around, otherwise they obviously prefer to continue suckling. Daisy is not keen on being apart from the pups, but Roxi is happy about it, she is not the best mum in the world! but they pups are progressing well so I am not overly concerned.

The pups are starting to become more aware of their surroundings, they are rolling around and playing with each other. The little red boy in Daisy's litter, the smooth coats, is a right little romper, and loves to chew (suck) on others ears and push the lttle ones over. He is going to a home where he is going to be called Nacho, which suits him down to the ground as I have nicknamed him Macho Nacho!

All my little smooth coats have found excellent homes, except our little Jenni, the little white girl who is staying with us.

I have 2 remaining long haired pups looking for homes. 1 boy and 1 girl. Here are some pictures of them for you:-
This is the little boy. His long coat will grow in as he grows.

Below in the pic you can see cheeky chops, the little girl looking for a good, loving, permanent home. She is the one sitting behind the milk bowl, with the white chest. You can see our little boy in the pic also at the front testing the meat. If you are interested in offering either of these 2 little darlings a loving, permanent UK home, please check out my website at chihuahuas-online.co.uk and go to the Pups for Sale page then get in touch.

21 Today!

mary@chihuahuas-online.co.uk

Well, my litter of 5 x smooth coat chihuahuas are 21 days old today, and growing nicely. They are getting stronger in the legs each day, but havn't properly found their feet yet, and although they can see around now, they have only just started to hear things as their little ears have just opened. They are still being fed by mum, who is doing an excellent job. I offered them a bowl of warm milk and mushed up farleys rusk this morning, but they were not impressed, bless... needless to say mum ate that for them, they will get it in the end I suppose!

I will try again in a day or two, perhaps when they are on their feet a bit more, there is no rush.

One of the pups is a snow white female with blue eyes. Obviously, we couldn't part with her, so she will be stopping with us, and we have named her Jennie Angel Snowflake. Jennie because this name apparantly means 'White Wave'.... Her middle name "Angel" was chosen by me, after my Grandma who passed in 1980 who has always been my guardian angel (Jennie's mum is called Daisy may, named after my Grandma so it was fitting to name Daisys' first pup of ours after my grandma also). And finally, Snowflake was chosen by my partner. So, Jennie Angel Snowflake will go on her birth certificate and she will be called Jennie for short..

The 4 remaining pups have found lovely homes and will leave me when they are 8 weeks old, all being well.

My litter of long haired Chihuahua pups are now 16 days old. Their eyes opened when they were 14 days old, so they are still slightly glazed over, but this will pass as the days go by. They too, are all doing nicely, and although mum dosn't seem to spend a great deal of time with them, they are being well fed and kept nice and clean by her. WE are concerened about their warmth though, so they are under constant heating from a heat lamp. They are slightly more wire haired than the smooth coats, in fact, it is quite hard to tell the smooth and the long coat pups pups apart at this stage, I dare say their coats will start to grow in shortly. 2 of the pups have found super homes, 1 has found a home but not yet reserved, and 2 potential owners who 'verbally' reserved the remaining 2 pups seem to have disapeared off the face of the earth since deposits were requested. You know when you request a deposit (which is a fair thing to do), then you get told that they were put in the post last week, and must have gone missing, yehh right....0-(

I suppose 2 timewasters out of 9 is not too bad. If you are geniunly looking for a long haired chihuahua puppy in the UK, as a pet only, please check out the pictures on my website at www.chihuahuas-online.co.uk I have 1 male and 1 female. I am re-vetting previous enquiries, but if you provide me with details about the home you are offering, experience, other pets, children, time at home during the day etc etc etc and will not vanish if I ask for a deposit, then please do get in touch, my email is at the top of this post...

Ok then, all is well,
until next time
